CERTIFICATION IN EU COUNTRIES
SPECIAL SERVICE LOGISTICS
CERTIFICATION OF UKRAINIAN PRODUCTS FOR EXPORT TO EU:
- certain types and groups of products require mandatory certification for compliance with the requirements and standards of product quality and safety in the countries of the European Union
- confirmation of compliance with the mandatory requirements of directives and harmonized standards of the European Union is obtaining the right to apply the CE marking
- the right to use and affix the CE mark to the product is obtained as a result of successfully passing the procedure for assessing compliance with the directives and standards of the European Union relevant to this product
- the presence of the CE mark on products indicates that the product does not pose a danger to the health of consumers and is harmless to the environment
- there is an official updated list of products that require an assessment of compliance with the necessary directives and standards in order to obtain the right to apply the CE mark
- it is important to note that not all groups of products require CE marking
- products that do not meet the directives and harmonized standards of the European Union are not allowed on the domestic market of the European Union countries
- administrative and criminal penalties are provided for violation of the rules governing the use of CE marking (Decision No. 768 / 2008 / EU dated July 9, 2008)
PECULIARITIES OF UKRAINIAN PRODUCTS CERTIFICATION IN EU:
- the product certification algorithm in the EU countries does not fundamentally differ from the similar certification algorithm in Ukraine
- at the initial stages, it is extremely important to clearly define the list of requirements and standards of the European Union, which the products must meet
- the next important stage is the correct preparation and development of the necessary technical and other regulatory documentation regarding these products
- an important and responsible stage of the certification process is laboratory testing of product samples and confirmation of conformity of test results in the form of product test results protocols
- it should be remembered that both the legislation of the European Union and the mentality of its citizens are intolerant of any low-quality or harmful imported goods and services – this imposes on the manufacturer or trader an additional responsibility for maintaining high standards of product quality
